I had an opportunity to take a class at Akimbo Studios last December. I had never worked with glass before but I was excited to learn. We had signed up for the Christmas Ornament class and Kim had everything set up when we got there. She gave great direction and encouragement and then let us explore the studio on our own. We made some beautiful ornaments to take home with us, one was a palm tree and the other was a surf board. It was so much fun to learn the process of glass fusion and to see possibilities of future glass projects we could make. I was also able to purchase a piece of glass art to take home from Kim’s retail selection and gallery. This class was something new & different and I will continue to attend them in the future.

I can’t think of a better way to spend time on a wonderful vacation…. making glass in Hawaii! Akimbo studios is a great place to learn….and Kim is a wonderful teacher! Wish I was there right now!

Akimbo Studio is an amazing experience. I love crafts and I was immediately drawn to the idea of fused glass. It’s easy, fun and most of all… beautiful! Kim is a great teacher with a lot to offer both the novice and experienced glass worker. I highly recommend visiting her studio for a great experience!
